The importance of routine examinations is immeasurable. These bi-annual checkups ideally prevent problems before they can become serious. Wellness exams provide our veterinarians with the ability to provide early diagnosis of health and behavioral problems, to ensure that your dog or cat has the latest vaccinations against infectious disease and parasites, and to determine if your pet’s diet is adequately providing the nutrients he or she needs to stay healthy and strong.
Our annual pet health maintenance package includes a thorough physical examination of your pet's coat and skin, eyes and ears, nose and throat, mouth, teeth and gums, heart and lungs, legs and paws, abdomen and gastrointestinal system, urogenital system, weight and diet.
If your animal is found to be healthy, vaccinations will be administered. Please contact us for information about the specific vaccines that we recommend. A microscopic examination of the feces for intestinal parasites (such as hookworms, ascarids, whipworms, tapeworms, giardia and coccidia) is also included. Canines receive an annual blood screen to detect the presence of heartworm disease. Additional health screening procedures may be performed depending on your pets' age and other medical issues.
